Overview

NetSuite CRM is the customer relationship module of Oracle NetSuite, a cloud business suite. Evan Goldberg started the company as NetLedger in 1998, and Oracle bought it in 2016. The CRM covers sales force automation, including lead, opportunity and quote management, sales forecasting and commissions. It also covers marketing automation with multi-channel campaigns, and customer service with case management, a customer portal and a knowledge base. Because it shares one database with NetSuite's financials, inventory, order management and ecommerce, sales and service teams can see orders, invoices and payment history next to contact records. That shared data is the main reason buyers pick it over a standalone CRM. Teams can customise it with SuiteBuilder (point-and-click), SuiteFlow (workflows), SuiteScript (JavaScript) and SuiteApp marketplace extensions. SuiteTalk web services provide API access, and official connectors cover platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Amazon, WooCommerce and Salesforce. NetSuite does not publish prices. Licensing is quoted per company and is typically billed annually. It combines a base platform fee, named-user licenses and optional modules, and third-party estimates put the base fee at around 999 USD per month and full users at roughly 99 to 199 USD per month. The CRM fits best at mid-market and enterprise companies that already run, or plan to run, NetSuite ERP. The main drawbacks are cost, a steep learning curve with an interface reviewers call dated, and CRM depth and AI that independent comparisons rate below Salesforce's.

Official connectors cover Shopify, Magento, Amazon, WooCommerce and Salesforce. SuiteTalk web services provide API access, and the SuiteApp marketplace adds third-party extensions.

You can add fields and forms with SuiteBuilder, automate processes with SuiteFlow workflows and write custom logic in SuiteScript, which is JavaScript.

Support is available by phone, email and chat, with 24/7 coverage for critical issues. Broader round-the-clock support appears to depend on the support tier, and reviews of support quality are mixed.
