Outreach

6.5/10

Outreach is an AI-driven sales execution platform that combines multichannel sequences, conversation intelligence, deal management and forecasting for mid-market and enterprise sales teams.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Outreach began in Seattle in 2014 as a sales engagement tool and has since grown into a broader revenue platform. It covers multichannel prospecting sequences, the built-in Outreach Voice dialer, meeting transcription and conversation intelligence, deal and pipeline management, account plans with relationship maps, and, on the top tier, forecasting with scenario planning and territory management. AI agents for research, deals, revenue and personalization sit across all of these. Outreach is not a standalone system of record. It runs alongside a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot and syncs activity back to it, so it suits organisations that already have a CRM and want structured outbound and deal execution on top of it. There are four packages: Essentials, Core, Plus and Pro. Each carries an allowance of AI credits, from 10,000 to 100,000, and Core and above also set limits on API calls, custom objects and knowledge storage. Outreach publishes no list prices. Licensing is per user, with no platform fee, and support is included. Data from the procurement firm Vendr puts the median contract at about $45,600 a year, with typical minimums of 5 to 10 seats and 12 to 36 month terms. Integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex. The main limitation is cost and opacity: you need a sales conversation for every quote, add-ons and onboarding can add a lot to the contract value, and the platform is more than very small teams need.

Who Outreach is best for

Good fit

  • The Pro tier adds forecasting, territory management, multi-currency support and managed services, and Outreach's customers include large firms such as Microsoft and Adobe.

  • The whole platform is built around prospecting sequences, dialing, coaching and deal execution for sales reps and managers.

  • Per-user licensing with 5 to 10 seat minimums and a median contract of about $45,600 a year fits mid-sized revenue teams.

Less suited

  • Custom annual contracts and onboarding fees make it a heavy investment for early-stage teams.

  • Seat minimums and the lack of public or self-serve pricing are barriers for small companies.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Covers prospecting sequences, dialing, conversation intelligence, deal management and forecasting in one platform, which can replace several point tools.
  • Per-user licensing with no platform fee, and support is included on all tiers according to the vendor.
  • Higher tiers raise API limits up to 1,000,000 calls and allow up to 20 custom objects, which leaves room for large and complex deployments.
  • Connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Slack and the major video meeting tools.
  • Capterra reviewers are largely positive, with a reported sentiment split of about 90% positive.

Cons

  • No public pricing, so every quote requires a sales conversation.
  • Vendr reports that add-ons can raise contract value by 20 to 40%, and that adding seats mid-term can bring higher per-seat rates.
  • Typical contracts are annual with 5 to 10 seat minimums and auto-renewal, which reduces flexibility for small teams.
  • Capterra reviewers repeatedly mention technical glitches and errors.
  • It is not a standalone CRM, so a separate system of record is still needed.
