Carrd

6/10

Carrd is a no-code builder for responsive one-page websites, landing pages, portfolios and link-in-bio pages, aimed at individuals and small businesses.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Carrd is a drag-and-drop builder for single-page sites. It covers landing pages, personal profiles, portfolios, link-in-bio pages and simple product pages. AJ (@ajlkn) launched it in 2016 as a side project. It grew to more than 1.6 million users with a very small team, and much of that growth came from the Made with Carrd footer on free sites. The free plan lets you build sites on a Carrd subdomain using the templates. Paid Pro plans are billed per year. Pro Lite costs $9 a year for 3 sites but has no custom domains or forms. Pro Standard costs $19 a year for 10 sites and adds custom domains, forms, widgets, embeds, analytics and meta tags. Pro Plus costs $49 a year for 25 sites and adds advanced forms, redirects, password protection, site downloads, site files and canonical URLs. Each tier has higher site counts at higher prices, up to 1,000 sites: $599 a year on Pro Standard and $999 a year on Pro Plus. You can try Pro free for 7 days without a card. Forms can send email signups to Mailchimp or Sendy, take payments through Stripe, or deliver contact messages by email. Embeds let you add third-party widgets. Carrd suits freelancers, startups validating ideas, and agencies that build many small pages cheaply. Its main limitation is scope. Each site is one page, and Carrd has no email sending, contact database, segmentation or advanced marketing automation. Reviewers note it is not suited to complex or dynamic sites, and some find multi-column layouts awkward to edit.

Who Carrd is best for

Good fit

  • Plans start at a few dollars a year, and portfolio and personal page templates match freelancer needs.

  • Link-in-bio pages and portfolios at very low prices suit creators.

  • It is a fast, cheap way to put up launch and waitlist pages, with Mailchimp signup forms.

  • It works well for simple one-page business sites, but it does not handle multi-page or complex sites.

Less suited

  • High site-count plans make it cheap to build many client pages, but there are no team or client management tools.

  • It is good for quick landing pages but has no email sending or segmentation.

  • It is useful for validating ideas with simple product landing pages.

  • It offers only Stripe payment forms on a single page, with no store features.

  • Mid-Market
    3/10

Sites are limited to one page and it has no team features, which suits larger firms poorly.

  • It has limited functionality and none of the compliance or admin features enterprises need.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • It is very cheap. Paid plans start at $9 a year, and 10 sites with custom domains cost $19 a year.
  • Non-developers can publish a responsive one-page site quickly, a point reviewers on Capterra and SpotSaaS praise consistently.
  • Templates, including free ones, are widely described as clean and attractive.
  • Forms connect to Mailchimp and Sendy for signups and to Stripe for payments.
  • Site-count tiers up to 1,000 sites make it economical to run many separate pages.

Cons

  • Each site is limited to a single page, so it is not suited to complex or dynamic websites.
  • It has no built-in email sending, contact management or segmentation, so marketing campaigns need other tools.
  • Custom domains, forms and analytics are missing from the cheapest Pro Lite plan.
  • Some reviewers find multi-column layouts and snapping behaviour awkward to edit.
  • It is run by a very small team, which limits support capacity and the pace of new features.
