Timely
6.4/10AI-powered automatic time tracking and project budgeting software for agencies, consultancies and knowledge-work teams that bill or plan by the hour.

Overview
Timely, made by the Oslo-based company Memory, captures work automatically. Its Memory app runs in the background and records time spent in apps, websites, documents, meetings and locations. AI then turns that activity into suggested timesheet entries, which users review and log against projects. Timely also covers project budgets, billable rates, planned time, capacity, and reporting on project health and billable hours. A Tasks add-on lets teams assign, schedule and track deliverables. It suits agencies, consultancies and professional services firms that need accurate billable hours without manual timers. Tracking data is private to each user, and the app does not take screenshots or log keystrokes. Pricing is per user and has four tiers. Starter is $11 a month or $9 on annual billing, with up to 5 users and 20 projects. Premium is $20 or $16, with up to 50 users. Unlimited is $28 or $22. Enterprise is quoted by sales. Tasks costs from $5 per person. There is a 14-day trial but no free plan. Integrations include Asana, Jira, Trello, monday.com, ClickUp, Linear, QuickBooks Online, Google Calendar, Outlook, Gmail, GitHub, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and there is an API. Security is ISO 27001:2022 certified, with data hosted on AWS in the EU, but Timely does not hold SOC 2. The main limitation is that Timely is a time and budget tool rather than a full project management suite. Task management costs extra, and there are no Gantt charts, docs or whiteboards. Reviewers also say the AI sometimes misallocates activity and the mobile app can be glitchy.
