Tadabase

6.7/10

Tadabase is an AI-assisted no-code builder that lets businesses create database-backed web apps, client portals and workflow automations without developers.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Tadabase started as a no-code database app builder. It now sells itself as Tadabase AI, where you describe a business app in plain English and it generates the database tables, logins, permissions, workflows, PDFs and React screens, then hosts the result with SSL. You can refine apps through chat, a drag-and-drop builder or code, sync them to GitHub, and connect them to Claude Code through MCP. Teams use it to build their own project trackers, operations systems and customer portals, where row-level security means each external user sees only their own records. It is not a ready-made project management tool, so you design the boards, task lists and views yourself. Pricing is a flat monthly fee per plan rather than per end user, and every plan allows unlimited end users. The Starter plan costs $25 a month and Business costs $250 a month, with about 16% off for annual billing. Plans are limited by builder seats, published apps, records, storage, workflow runs, emails and AI credits, and you can buy extra app slots and AI credit packs. Integrations cover a REST API, webhooks, GitHub sync and MCP. Third-party reviews also mention Zapier, Stripe, Dropbox, Cloudinary and Twilio. SSO, audit logs and IP restrictions are only on the Business plan. The main limitation is that you build everything yourself. Reviewers say larger apps get harder to organise, custom styling can require CSS, and complex integrations need API knowledge. The vendor also says its SOC 2-aligned controls have not been independently audited.

Who Tadabase is best for

Good fit

  • The notes say teams build operations systems and workflow automations on it.

  • Flat pricing with unlimited end users and no-code building suit small teams that want custom internal apps.

  • Client portals with row-level security and several published apps per plan suit agencies building client-facing systems.

  • Portals and custom workflows let consultancies give clients secure access to their own records.

  • The AI builder and exportable React code let startups prototype internal tools quickly.

Less suited

  • It outputs standard React code with GitHub sync, a REST API and MCP connection to Claude Code, though it is aimed at building without developers.

  • Reviewers place it at small to mid-sized organisations, and governance features are limited to the top plan.

  • SSO, audit logs and IP restrictions exist but only on the $250 Business plan, and the SOC 2-aligned controls are not audited.

  • SSO and audit logs exist, but its SOC 2 controls have not been independently audited and the company is small.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Flat plan pricing with unlimited end users, which reviewers say is generous compared with per-user tools for multi-user apps.
  • Client portals use server-side row-level security, so external users see only their own records.
  • The AI builder generates the schema, logins, workflows and screens from a plain-English prompt, and the output is standard React code you can export to GitHub.
  • Reviewers on Capterra and G2 rate it highly (about 4.9 out of 5) and often praise responsive support.

Cons

  • Not a ready-made project management tool, so boards, task lists and views must be designed by the builder.
  • SSO, audit logs and IP restrictions are only on the $250-a-month Business plan.
  • The vendor says its SOC 2-aligned controls have not been independently audited.
  • Reviewers say larger apps are harder to organise, custom styling may need CSS, and complex integrations need API knowledge.
  • There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial.
