Overview

Daylite is a CRM and productivity app from Canadian developer Marketcircle, built only for Apple devices. It runs natively on macOS, iPhone and iPad. Contacts, opportunities, projects, tasks, notes, forms, email and calendar all live in one linked record, so a client's full history stays in one place. Pipelines are customizable and shown as visual boards. Smart Lists filter records dynamically, and projects support milestones, checklist templates and a timeline view. The app works offline and syncs through Daylite Cloud when you reconnect. It suits Apple-only agencies, consultants, legal, real estate and photography firms that juggle client relationships and project delivery. Pricing is a subscription in three public tiers. Leap is a single-user plan at $20 a month with 500 contacts. Growth costs $40 per user per month for up to 20 users and 25,000 contacts. Scale costs $60 per user per month for up to 100 users, adds premium phone and screen-share support, and lifts the contact limit to 250,000. Annual billing costs about 16 percent less, and a custom Tailored plan is available for larger teams. Integrations include Apple Mail, Contacts and Calendar, two-way Google Calendar sync, meeting links for Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, Zapier, Slack and MoneyWorks, plus a developer API. An AI assistant is in early access. The main limitation is the platform lock-in. There is no Windows, Android or browser version, so mixed-platform teams cannot use it. Reviewers also note that it has no invoicing and lighter marketing and automation features than cloud CRMs.

Who Daylite is best for

Good fit

  • It is aimed at small client-based businesses on Apple devices, with plans capped at 20 or 100 users.

  • Agencies are a stated target, and they get combined pipeline and project tracking.

  • The vendor names consultants as a target, and the product grew out of Marketcircle's own consulting work.

  • The single-user Leap plan at $20 a month suits solo Mac users, though it has a 500-contact cap.

Less suited

  • Legal
    6/10

The vendor names legal firms as a target and links client records to projects.

  • Real Estate
    6/10

The vendor names real estate firms as a target and offers client pipelines.

  • It has customizable pipelines, opportunity management and lead management, but no built-in calling.

  • Affordable per-user plans suit small Apple-only teams.

  • Mid-Market
    4/10

The Scale plan caps at 100 users and the app runs only on Apple devices.

  • It has mobile apps and offline sync, but no web access and no Windows or Android apps.

  • It is Apple-only with no web access, and the public plans top out at 100 users.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Native macOS, iOS and iPadOS apps that work offline and sync once you reconnect
  • One record links contacts, deals, projects, emails, notes and meetings, which cuts down on switching between apps
  • Close ties to Apple Mail, Contacts and Calendar, plus two-way Google Calendar sync
  • Free 14-day trial of all features for the whole team, with no credit card required
  • Scale plan adds phone, screen-share and video support

Cons

  • No invoicing or billing tools; Marketcircle sells Billings Pro separately for that
  • Some reviewers say it lacks features expected of a full CRM, such as marketing automation
  • The Leap plan is capped at one user and 500 contacts
  • The iOS apps lack some macOS features
