Apollo
6.5/10Apollo is a sales intelligence and engagement platform that combines a B2B contact database, email sequencing, a dialer and deal tracking for outbound sales teams.
Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology
Overview
Apollo, sold at apollo.io, pairs a large B2B contact and company database with the tools to act on it. Reps can search for prospects, reveal emails and phone numbers, enrol contacts in email sequences, call from a built-in dialer, and track deals and pipeline. A Chrome extension and syncing with CRMs such as Salesforce and HubSpot let teams use it alongside an existing CRM or as a lightweight one. It fits startups, small businesses and outbound sales teams that want prospect data and outreach in one subscription instead of buying separate data and sequencing tools. Pricing is per seat with a free plan. Independent reviews from 2026 put Basic at $49 per user per month and Professional at $79 per user per month on annual billing, with Professional at $99 on monthly billing. The Organization tier costs about $119 per user, is annual only, and needs at least three seats. Every plan includes credits that are pooled across the team, reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Phone reveals cost about eight times as much as email reveals, so real spend can be well above the seat price. All seats on an account must be on the same plan. API access, SSO and advanced security require the higher tiers. The main weakness, raised again and again by reviewers, is data accuracy. Mobile numbers and contacts outside North America are often outdated or wrong, and credits are spent even when a record is bad.
Our Rating
Who Apollo is best for
Good fit
Prospecting data, sequences and the dialer are built for outbound reps.
Self-serve per-seat pricing replaces separate data and sequencing tools.
The free plan and low entry price let early teams run their full outbound workflow.
Less suited
Useful for lead generation, but Apollo data is licensed for internal use only, so reselling it needs a separate agreement.
SSO and advanced security are available on Custom plans, but data accuracy concerns lead many large teams to ZoomInfo.
