Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

TeamGantt is a web-based scheduling tool built around a drag-and-drop Gantt chart. Teams plan tasks with dependencies that move connected work when dates change, check baselines against actual progress, and track critical paths. Plans can also be viewed as lists, calendars or Kanban boards. A workload view shows how work is spread across people, and time tracking is tied to individual tasks. The company was founded in Baltimore in 2009 to schedule jobs for a roofing contractor, and it now leans toward construction. Its Builder Edition adds lookahead schedules, material lead times, procurement tracking, subcontractor schedule confirmation, a client portal and Procore sync. Pricing is a flat monthly fee per plan, not per seat. A free Personal plan covers one user, one project and 40 tasks. Base costs $59 a month for one manager, ten collaborators and five projects. Business costs $120 a month with unlimited managers and collaborators and 500 tasks per project, and extra projects cost $24 a month each. Builder Edition costs $199 a month, and Enterprise, which adds SSO and advanced reporting, is quoted on request. Integrations include Procore, Slack, Trello, Basecamp, Dropbox, Zapier and calendar feeds, and there is a public API. The main limitation is that TeamGantt is mainly a planning tool. It has no built-in automations, documents, wiki or chat, so teams usually pair it with other software, and project caps can push costs up.

Who TeamGantt is best for

Good fit

  • Builder Edition adds lookahead schedules, procurement tracking, subcontractor confirmation and Procore sync.

  • Flat plan pricing with unlimited collaborators on Business, plus simple Gantt planning, suits small teams.

  • Live schedule sharing and visual timelines are easy for clients to read.

Less suited

  • Time tracking and client-shareable timelines suit project-based client work.

  • The free Personal plan covers one user and one project, but paid plans start at $59 a month.

  • Flat pricing and a free plan keep costs low.

  • Gantt scheduling and client sharing suit campaign timelines, but there is nothing marketing-specific.

  • Mid-Market
    5/10

Business has unlimited users, but project caps and SSO only on Enterprise limit larger firms.

  • SSO is limited to a custom Enterprise plan, and the vendor is a 22-person company focused on scheduling.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Gantt timelines with automatic dependency shifting are easy for stakeholders to read, and reviewers report quick onboarding.
  • Business plan includes unlimited managers and collaborators at a flat price, avoiding per-seat costs.
  • Builder Edition adds construction-specific tools such as lookahead schedules, procurement tracking and Procore sync.
  • Exports to CSV, PDF and Microsoft Project, and calendar feeds sync to Google, iCloud and Outlook.

Cons

  • No built-in workflow automations, as TechRepublic notes.
  • Project caps of 5 to 20 on lower plans mean costs rise as you add projects.
  • Documents, wiki and team chat are not built in, so teams rely on other tools.
  • Some users report a learning curve and cluttered views on large projects.
