Overview

Sugar Sell is the sales force automation product from SugarAI, which was called SugarCRM until April 2026. It manages accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities and quotes, and adds configurable business process automation, dashboards and a mobile app. Since the rebrand, the company has positioned the product around precision selling: AI features flag renewal and reorder risk, point to accounts that need attention, and suggest next steps. The Precision+ editions do this by combining CRM records with ERP order history through Sugar Predict, and the vendor claims more than 180 ERP integrations. It suits B2B organisations in manufacturing, wholesale and distribution with large account portfolios. Pricing is per user and billed annually only. Standard+ is $68, Advanced+ is $98 and Premier+ is $155 per user per month. A third-party review reports a 15-user minimum. Advanced+ adds forecasting, mail and calendar integration, geo mapping and the Sugar Cube AI assistant. Premier+ adds data enrichment, smart guides and Discover. The Precision+ tiers are quoted by sales. Sugar Connect+ email sync costs an extra $20 per user per month. Integrations come through the Sugar Marketplace, which lists connectors for NetSuite, HubSpot, Salesforce and Jira, and through REST and SOAP APIs. Marketing automation and service ticketing are sold as the separate Sugar Market and Sugar Serve products. The main limitation is the cost of entry: at the reported 15-seat minimum with annual billing, even the Standard+ plan costs more than $12,000 a year before implementation work. Cloud deployments also cap API traffic and block direct database access.

Who Sugar Sell is best for

Good fit

  • ERP-informed reorder and churn signals are aimed at manufacturers and distributors.

  • The reported 15-seat minimum and the admin-heavy configuration match B2B teams of mid-market size.

  • The product is built around pipeline, forecasting and guided selling for account-based sales teams.

  • It offers ERP-linked AI, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 attestations, and tiered support, but it has a smaller ecosystem than Salesforce.

Less suited

  • Logistics
    6/10

Targets wholesale and distribution, using ERP order history.

  • A general B2B CRM, but its setup and 15-user minimum make it heavy for advisory firms.

  • The reported 15-user minimum creates a five-figure annual floor.

  • It is costly and setup-heavy for small, early-stage teams.

  • Lists no marketing automation.

  • The seat minimum and annual contracts rule out solo users.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Combines CRM records with ERP order history to produce reorder, cross-sell and churn signals, which suits distributors and manufacturers.
  • Workflows, business processes and dashboards are highly configurable without moving to a separate platform.
  • Security attestations are documented, including ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II, with regional hosting options.
  • Support tiers come with published P1 response targets, from 4 business hours down to 1 hour around the clock.

Cons

  • A reported 15-user minimum with annual-only billing puts the entry cost above $12,000 a year.
  • Email sync on the base plan and the ERP-driven AI in the Precision+ tiers cost extra.
  • Cloud deployments throttle API traffic above 20 requests per second and do not allow direct database access.
  • Reviewers point to a learning curve and a setup that can take weeks to months with a dedicated admin.
