NocoDB

6.7/10

NocoDB is a source-available, Airtable-style no-code database that puts spreadsheet views and APIs on top of SQL databases, available as cloud or self-hosted software.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

NocoDB lets teams work with relational data through a spreadsheet-style interface. It offers grid, kanban, gallery, form and calendar views. It can create its own bases or connect to existing PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server or SQLite databases, so your data stays where it already lives. Every table automatically gets a REST API, and webhooks let other systems react to record changes. That makes NocoDB a good fit for technical teams, startups and internal operations groups who want to track projects, requests or inventory without locking their data into a proprietary SaaS store. Pricing comes in two forms. The self-hosted Community edition is free and has no limits on records, storage or seats, but it allows only 2 workflows per base and 2 interfaces per workspace. Paid cloud plans start with Plus at $12 per seat per month on annual billing, or $15 on monthly billing. Business costs $24 or $30 and adds SAML SSO and external database connections. Scale costs $45 or $54 and adds row-level security and audit logs. On Plus and Business, you pay for at most 9 seats and any further users are free. The cloud free tier is capped at 1,000 records and 1 GB of storage. Buyers should be aware that NocoDB is a database tool, not a dedicated project management suite. Reviewers say the interface is less polished than Airtable's, the formula language is less deep, and older reviews mention weak real-time collaboration. Self-hosting needs someone comfortable with Docker. Since version 0.301.0, NocoDB has used the Sustainable Use License, so it is source-available rather than traditional open source.
