Overview
Frappe CRM is an open-source sales CRM, licensed under AGPL-3.0, from the company behind ERPNext. It handles leads and deals. Leads can come in from web forms, emails, WhatsApp chats, Facebook lead ads, and phone calls. Each lead can be enriched with company data and converted into a deal, and deals support multiple currencies. Emails, call logs with recordings, WhatsApp messages, notes, comments, and tasks all appear on the deal page. Teams can work in list, Kanban, or grouped views. A dashboard covers forecasts, lead sources, and loss reasons. Assignment rules and reply-time SLAs help with follow-ups. Pricing doesn't depend on seat count. You can self-host it for free, or run it on Frappe Cloud from $5 a month per site with unlimited users, leads, and contacts. Dedicated servers start at $20 to $60 a month, and enterprise deals are quoted. Built-in integrations cover Twilio and Exotel calling, WhatsApp Business, Meta lead forms, and ERPNext for quotations and customer creation, and there is a REST API. It suits cost-conscious small businesses, startups, and teams already using ERPNext or Frappe. The main limitation is maturity. Community forum users report slow progress on long-open issues, gaps between leads, deals, and quotations, awkward task workflows, and thinner out-of-the-box features than Odoo or HubSpot. It also has no marketing automation.
