Overview
Forethought is an AI customer support platform built from several agents. Solve resolves customer issues end to end across chat, email, voice, Slack, and headless API embeds. Triage classifies, routes, prioritizes, and tags tickets with pre-built or custom models. Discover finds knowledge gaps and suggests articles and automations. QA scores the tickets human agents handle, and an agentic copilot suggests replies inside the helpdesk. The agents learn from past tickets and help center content, and Autoflows let teams encode policies and custom actions. Zendesk announced it would acquire Forethought in March 2026 and completed the deal later that month. Zendesk has said new customers can still buy Forethought on its own, without the Zendesk platform. Pricing is quote-only. There are three tiers: Team, Professional, and Enterprise. Each combines a platform access fee with outcome-based charges, and overages apply above plan limits. Multibrand, the Analytics API, and Discover are sold as add-ons. Email, voice, and Slack agents start at Professional. The Solve API, the Analytics API, and knowledge gap detection with AI article creation are reserved for Enterprise. There is no free trial; buyers evaluate through a sales-led Proof of Value. The product suits support organizations with high ticket volume and plenty of history. One review cites about 20,000 past tickets as the point where it works best. The main limitations are that prices are not published and that the setup needs ongoing tuning, which weighs on small teams without a dedicated admin.
