Emma by Marigold is an email marketing platform with automation, segmentation, SMS and brand controls, built for multi-location and distributed organizations.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Emma is an email marketing platform that began in Nashville in the early 2000s. It is now one of Marigold's three core products, alongside Campaign Monitor and Vuture. It includes a drag-and-drop email builder with templates, segmentation by behavior, purchase history and demographics, dynamic content, triggered automations, A/B testing of subject lines, content and send times, built-in reporting, SMS, and AI suggestions for send times and subject lines. What sets Emma apart is its support for distributed organizations. Subaccounts, a Brand Manager with locked brand elements, templates shared across subaccounts, approval workflows and role-based permissions let a head office control the brand while local teams send their own campaigns. That focus helped it win B2B Email Marketing Solution of the Year at the 2026 MarTech Breakthrough Awards. Pricing is a flat monthly fee. Emma Lite costs $105 a month and Emma for Teams costs $205 a month, while Emma Corporate is quoted by sales. Lists over 10,000 contacts need a custom quote. There is no free version and no free trial. Native integrations include Salesforce and HubSpot, and Zapier connects Shopify, WooCommerce, Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey and Google Analytics. An open API supports custom integrations. The main drawback is cost: the entry price is high for a single small business compared with freemium tools. The pricing page also gives conflicting user counts for its plans, and add-ons such as SMS and professional services have no published prices.
