Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology
Overview
Certinia, formerly FinancialForce, sells Professional Services Cloud, a professional services automation (PSA) suite that runs natively on Salesforce. It shares customer records and the user interface with Salesforce CRM. That lets a services firm turn a won opportunity into a project automatically, then manage delivery and billing on the same data. The product covers project status, budgets and risks. It also handles skills-based resource scheduling through a Work Planner view, time and expense entry from any device, and near real-time tracking of bookings, backlog, billings and rate realization. Dashboards and forecasting project revenue and billings for current projects and pipeline opportunities. Veda AI adds AI-assisted resource planning and customer health tracking. The suite suits mid-market and enterprise consultancies and services organizations that already run on Salesforce. On G2, roughly half of reviewers come from mid-market firms and about a third from enterprises. Pricing is quote-based with no public price list. Buyers go through a demo or sales, and the product is also listed on AWS Marketplace. Security rests on Salesforce's infrastructure plus Certinia's own SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 attestations. The main limitations are cost and complexity. Reviewers mention premium pricing, a steep learning curve, long deployments and admin overhead, and the product depends on having Salesforce. It is not a lightweight task board for small teams.
