Overview

Gemini Enterprise is Google Cloud's agent platform for the workplace. It launched in October 2025 and replaced Agentspace. Staff can chat with Gemini models, search company data across connected apps with permissions respected, run the Deep Research agent, generate media, and use prebuilt or custom agents. Higher editions add a no-code agent builder (in preview), custom skills, an Agent Marketplace, a Data Insights agent, and import of full-code agents. There are several editions. Business is a self-serve SaaS app at business.gemini.google.com for 1 to 500 users. Google's docs give 500 as the cap, while third-party guides cite 300. Its launch price was reported at $21 per seat per month. Standard and Plus start at $30 per seat per month and have no seat cap. Partners report that Plus costs more: about $50 per seat per month on an annual term or $60 on flexible billing. Pay-as-you-go is metered. Frontline is an add-on for deskless workers that needs at least 150 Standard or Plus seats. Storage and indexing are pooled across users: 25 GiB per seat on Business, 30 GiB on Standard and 75 GiB on Plus. It fits organisations already on Google Workspace and Google Cloud best. Higher editions add enterprise controls: VPC Service Controls, customer-managed encryption keys, US or EU data residency, Access Transparency and Cloud Audit Logs. Google states that customer data is not used to train its models. The main limitation is the Business edition. It gets only selected connectors and has no Agent Marketplace or agent builder. Total cost is also hard to predict, because usage beyond quotas, partner models and developer tools are billed separately.

Who Gemini Enterprise is best for

Good fit

  • Standard and Plus have no seat cap and add CMEK, VPC Service Controls, data residency and audit logs.

  • Standard offers the full connector set and the agent builder at a published per-seat price.

  • CMEK, VPC Service Controls, audit logs and data residency give IT strong controls.

Less suited

  • Access Transparency, CMEK and data residency suit regulated buyers.

  • The self-serve Business edition covers 1 to 500 users but has fewer connectors and no agent builder.

  • Full-code agents can be imported, though developer tools are billed separately.

  • Field Teams
    5/10

A Frontline add-on serves deskless workers, but it needs at least 150 seats.

  • Pay-as-you-go and Business are accessible, but metered costs can be hard to forecast.

  • It is a workplace agent platform priced per seat for organisations.
