Overview

factro is a German project management tool built by Schuchert Managementberatung in Bochum. You plan a project as a structure tree of task packages and tasks, then view the same data as a Gantt timeline, a Kanban board, a table, a status overview or a personal list of tasks from all projects. Collaboration features include comments, @mentions, file attachments, real-time notifications and free guest access for outside parties. Higher plans add meetings with automatic minutes, time tracking, resource and absence planning, and project reports. The vendor has industry pages for public administration, architecture and engineering firms, consultancies, hospitals, social organisations and utilities. A dedicated Government plan adds a template library for public authorities and an EVB-IT cloud contract. Pricing is per user per month. The free Basic plan covers up to 3 users and 5 projects. Business costs 19.99 EUR and Professional costs 29.99 EUR per user per month, each with a minimum of 3 users. Government is priced on request. Monthly plans can be cancelled monthly, and annual billing allows payment by invoice. Integrations focus on Microsoft: Teams, SharePoint and Outlook on Business, iCal sync on Professional, plus an API. Reviewers note that there is no Slack integration. GDPR compliance is the main selling point. The main limitations reviewers report are rigid structures that are hard to customise, a Gantt mode that is less intuitive than the other views, and weak reporting. Each task can have only one responsible person and one executor.
