Overview
Claude for Work is the name for Anthropic's organizational plans of the Claude assistant: Team and Enterprise. Members get every Claude model for writing, analysis and research. Claude Code for software work and Cowork for agentic tasks are included in each seat, along with shared projects and workplace connectors such as Google Drive, Gmail, Slack, GitHub and Microsoft 365. The pricing page also lists Design, Slides, Docs and Dashboards (beta) features, plus enterprise search. Team suits groups of 2 to 150 people. It is sold per seat: Standard seats cost $25 a month on monthly billing or $20 a month billed annually, and Premium seats cost $125 or $100 with about five times the usage. Seat types can be mixed, and the plan includes up to $500 a month of pooled API credits. Enterprise has a 20-seat minimum and annual billing only. It charges a $20 seat fee plus usage at API rates, and adds SCIM, audit logs, role-based access, a Compliance API, custom retention, IP allowlisting and a HIPAA-ready option. The sales-assisted version adds invoicing and AWS Marketplace purchasing. Anthropic says business content is not used for training by default. The main limitation is usage caps: each seat has session and weekly limits, Claude Code draws on the same pool, and users report hitting limits sooner than expected. Admins can enable paid usage credits for overage.

Pros & Cons
Pros
- Claude Code and Cowork agents are included in every Team seat, so a single subscription covers chat, coding and agentic work.
- Standard and Premium seats can be mixed, so only heavy users need the $100 to $125 Premium tier.
- Since 2026 the seat minimum is two, down from five, and monthly billing makes small-team trials cheap.
- Enterprise offers strong governance, including SCIM, audit logs, a Compliance API, IP allowlisting and a HIPAA-ready option.
- Up to $500 a month of pooled API credits on Team lets teams prototype on the developer platform.
Cons
- Per-seat session and weekly usage caps frustrate heavy users, and Claude Code draws on the same pool.
- Users have reported limits draining unexpectedly, and a class action alleges usage limits were misleading.
- On Team, audit logs, SCIM and the Compliance API require Enterprise, which has a 20-seat minimum.
- Enterprise adds API-rate usage on top of seat fees, which makes the total cost hard to predict.
- Plan terms changed several times in 2026, so buyers need to recheck current limits at checkout.
