Overview

Bordio is a project and team planning tool from Bordio SIA, a company based in Riga, Latvia. Instead of treating a project as a list, it puts tasks and meetings on specific days of a weekly calendar. Users keep a waiting list for unscheduled work, set time blocks, and see every teammate's to-dos and workload on one team board. Projects can use kanban or table views with custom task statuses, subtasks, recurring tasks, reminders, estimated time and a built-in timer. Each task has its own real-time chat for discussion and attachments. Project notes can hold images, links and checklists. Clients and freelancers can be invited as free guests. The tool suits small businesses, agencies and startups that care most about day-to-day scheduling and less about complex portfolio management. There are two plans. The Free plan is limited to personal, non-commercial use, with 10 projects and 500MB of storage. The per-user Organization plan adds unlimited projects and storage, a projects overview, project summaries, performance reports, roles and permissions, custom fields and archiving. Bordio says annual billing saves up to 40%, but its pricing page does not show the actual price in text. Third-party listings quote anywhere from about $3.99 to $9 per user per month. Native integrations are limited to Google Calendar sync, Google Meet and .ics email invites, plus a public API. The main limitation is depth. Reviewers point out missing dashboards and fuller reporting, limited customization, a basic chat, and no Gantt charts or automation.

Who Bordio is best for

Good fit

  • Bordio is built around simple team scheduling and sold per user at a low price.

  • Small teams can set it up quickly, and reviewers say it is cheap.

  • Free guest access for clients and freelancers, plus workload views, suit agency work, although reporting is thin.

Less suited

  • A shared team calendar and per-task chat help distributed teams coordinate.

  • The Free plan is for personal non-commercial use only, so freelancers doing paid work need the paid plan.

  • Mid-Market
    3/10
