Nifty

6.6/10

Nifty is a project management workspace that puts tasks, milestones, docs, chat, time tracking and client portals together for small and mid-sized teams and agencies.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Nifty is a cloud project management platform that handles tasks, milestones with Gantt-style roadmaps, discussions, docs, file storage and team chat in each project, with portfolios to group projects together. Paid plans add time tracking and reporting, custom fields, budget tracking, workflow automations, file proofing and cross-project overviews. The Business tier adds goals tracking, team workloads, custom roles and automatic check-ins. Guests and clients can work inside projects, so agencies and consultancies use Nifty to share progress with clients without running a separate portal. Pricing comes in two forms. Teams under seven people can pay per member, with Pro priced around 10 to 16 USD per member per month depending on billing. Larger teams can choose flat-rate tiers: Pro covers 10 members, Business covers 30, and Unlimited covers any number of members, with Enterprise quoted by sales. A free plan allows unlimited members but only 2 active projects and 100 MB of storage. Every paid plan comes with a 14-day trial that needs no credit card. Native integrations include Slack, Zoom, Webex, GitHub, GitLab, Google Drive and Calendar, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Harvest, Miro, Typeform and Calendly. Zapier, an open API with webhooks, and an MCP server for AI assistants cover other tools. Nifty reports SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certification. Reviewers say budgeting and advanced reporting are thinner than in dedicated tools, and they find the mobile app weaker than the desktop version. Several features, including custom SAML and the open API, only come with higher tiers.

Who Nifty is best for

Good fit

  • Guests and clients get access, and higher plans add file proofing and white labeling, which suits client delivery work.

  • Per-member pricing for teams under seven people and a free plan with unlimited members make it cheap to adopt.

  • Time tracking, budget tracking and client access fit billable project work.

  • Chat, docs, tasks and time tracking in one place cut down the number of tools a young team has to pay for.

Less suited

  • Mid-Market
    6/10

Flat-rate Business and Unlimited plans scale affordably, but reviewers point to limits in advanced reporting.

  • SOC 2, ISO 27001, SAML and an Enterprise tier exist, but the product is aimed mainly at smaller teams.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • The free plan allows unlimited members, so a whole team can try it before paying, though only 2 projects are active at once.
  • Flat-rate plans (10 members for 99 USD a month, or unlimited members for 499 USD) keep costs predictable as a team grows.
  • Chat, docs, Gantt milestones and time tracking sit in one workspace, which reviewers on SpotSaaS and G2 praise.
  • Clients and guests can join projects at no extra cost on most plans, which suits agencies.
  • Nifty reports SOC 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certification, with data hosted on AWS and encrypted in transit and at rest.

Cons

  • G2 reviewers say budgeting and advanced reporting are limited.
  • Reviewers find the mobile app less capable than the desktop version.
  • The native integration list is short, so users often rely on Zapier.
  • Custom SAML, IP restriction, the open API and forms only come with the Business or Unlimited tiers.
  • Some users report slowdowns when uploading files and too many notifications.
