Overview
FigJam is the collaborative whiteboard in Figma's product suite, launched in April 2021. Teams use its infinite canvas with sticky notes, shapes, connectors, stamps, reactions, audio, chat and comments to run brainstorms, retrospectives, standups, project kickoffs and diagramming sessions. It has more than 300 templates, including Gantt chart and roadmap layouts. Its AI features can generate templates and diagrams from a prompt, sort stickies into themes, and summarize a session into action items. Guests from other companies can join a file free for 24 hours without logging in, which helps with client workshops. Widgets and integrations connect boards to Asana, Jira, GitHub, Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace, so items from a brainstorm can move into a dedicated task tool. FigJam has no separate price. It is included with every Figma seat. The cheapest paid access is a Collab seat at $3 per month on the Professional plan, or $5 per month billed annually on the Organization and Enterprise plans. Full and Dev seats cost more and also include FigJam. The free Starter plan gives limited access and a daily AI credit allowance. FigJam suits product, design, marketing and agency teams that already use Figma and need a quick visual space for meetings. Its main limitation in this category is that it is not a project management system. It has no real task assignment workflow, time tracking, dashboards, reporting or automation, and reviewers mention limited export options and slowdowns on large boards.
Our Rating
Who FigJam is best for
Good fit
A low-cost Collab seat and a free tier suit small product teams that already design in Figma.
Free 24-hour guest access without login makes client workshops easy.
Enterprise plans add SSO, guest access controls and admin features within the wider Figma suite.
Less suited
Templates support campaign brainstorming, but the product lacks campaign tracking.
It is affordable, but small businesses need a separate tool to manage tasks.
