Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology
Overview
Ada, based in Toronto, builds AI agents that handle customer service conversations on web chat, email, voice, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and in-app messaging. A single reasoning engine applies the same policies on every channel. Agents answer from a company's knowledge sources and use Playbooks to run multi-step procedures such as order tracking lookups. Ada Computer lets agents call APIs, run code and use MCP tools inside business systems. When an agent cannot resolve an issue, it hands the conversation to a person by creating a ticket in a helpdesk such as Zendesk, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Freshdesk or Genesys. Coaching tools let managers correct responses without writing code, and governance controls cover trust and safety. Ada's site lists SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS and AIUC-1 compliance. The product suits large, high-volume support teams. Ada publishes no prices and sells through quotes and demos. Third-party reports describe billing per conversation or per resolution on annual contracts paid upfront. A past AWS Marketplace offer listed 33,000 USD for 60,000 conversations a year, and some enterprise deals reportedly reach hundreds of thousands of dollars. The main limitations are cost and setup effort, which make it a poor fit for small teams. Some end customers also complain that it is hard to reach a human when the bot fails.
Our Rating
Who Ada is best for
Good fit
Ada sells custom annual contracts with broad compliance coverage and integrations for high-volume enterprise support teams.
Less suited
Mid-sized support teams with enough volume can benefit, but entry contracts reportedly start around 30,000 USD a year.
There is no self-serve plan or trial, and reviewers say the return is limited for smaller teams.
The high minimum spend and the setup effort make it a poor fit for early-stage companies.
